   There is not warranty for a 9-year old appliance. As for the crack – you can still use the oven but that’s about it.
   We had the same thing happen to us last year. It cost just as much to have the top replaced as it did for a new coil top stove….we bought the coil top stove and moved on.

   However the stove is getting old so you might want to consider replacing instead of repairing. If the burners are working on the side that is not cracked you might get by for awhile just using that side, but as stated earlier the crack will probably spread and you will need to replace the top or the stove before long. There should be no problem just using the oven.
